All our lessons will be safely delivered with teachers on poolside, and children will be allocated a colour cone this will help keep children safe during the lessons. We are only having 6 maximum children during our classes. Beginner classes will now be a parent and child assistance class, this will help your child feel confident in the water and help with changing of aids and still allowing your child to have the full experience of water skills.
On Arrival at Broadland High School:
We suggest you arrive at the swimming pool 5 minutes before your allocated lesson time, please be aware that due to COVID-19 secure work place we have now put in a one way system, you will enter the building through the main entrance where I will welcome you so please wait outside until I’m at the door. I will then ask you to sanities your hands. Please then remove shoes in the waiting area and take onto poolside. boys will filter through into boys changing rooms girls through into girls changing rooms onto poolside. Once lessons are over they will leave poolside via the fire exit door.
On Arrival at Langley Prep Taverham Hall School
We suggest you arrive at the swimming pool 5 minutes before your allocated lesson time, please be aware that due to COVID-19 secure work place we have now put in a one way system, you will find the entrance to the pool via a side archway (entrance is signed posted please follow signs) to where your teacher will welcome you onto poolside via the fire exit door and you will then be asked to sanities your hands.
If you are your child needs the toilet please use the ones allocated in the changing rooms/hall way. Once you have used the toilet I ask that you clean down after where there is touch points. Spray and wipes will be available.
We ask that when bringing your child to lessons that it is only one parent/guardian allowed on poolside. We can only allocate 12 parents due to social distancing at Langley Prep at Taverham Hall. Broadland High School parents are not allowed into the building due to seating removed, we ask that you wait outside on the grass in nice weather or on rainy cold days you can sit in your car. But we asked that you come to the exit so we can allow your child to leave.
Whilst in the building we ask that face coverings are to be warn. If you are in a Parent Assistance Class, you will not need to wear a mask as you will be in the water, but once on poolside please wear a face covering.
Please can your child come to lessons with their swimming shorts/costume under their clothes, ready for lessons, showers and changing rooms will not be in use at this time. If you are attending parent assistance classes, we also ask adults to come with their swim wear under their clothes. Once lessons are finished, we are asking you to dry off as much as you can and leave via the exit door.
