Bethany Secker

Level 2 Swim Teacher/Rookie Lifeguard Instructor.

“I’ve had a love of swimming from a very young age, and never stopped since. I was part of a swimming club for a couple of years but wanted something more fun and that’s when I found out about synchronised swimming. I’ve now been a synchronised swimmer for nearly 8 years and never thought I would love it so much. I attend regular competitions and in 2016 my team went to nationals, placing in the top 10 and we hope to go again soon. I followed my granddads love of swimming and became a lifeguard and soon after a swim teacher. I absolutely love my job and to see children grow and enjoy swimming as much as me!”

Parent & Child, Level 2 Teacher/Rookie Lifeguard Instructor.

“From a young age I have really enjoyed my sports, from Dancing on the West End, Competing at Nationals for my Swimming Club, and Rowing for my local Rowing Club where I qualified to compete in the Women’s 8 in London. I have qualifications in Sports from L3 Diploma in Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness and NVQ L3 Diploma in Supporting, Delivery of Physical Education and School Sports. My love of teaching started at an early age, I have gain a lot of experience working as a School Swimming Instructor and as a Leisure Centre Swimming Teacher where I taught not only children but ran stroke specific development classes for adults too.
I love teaching all ages groups, it’s a great pleasure watching every child develop in confidence throughout their lessons, as well as gaining the knowledge of importance of safety around water”.

I have been the proud owner of OSS Leisure Swim School for 5 years now, I also welcomed a baby girl in February 2022, so I’m very excited to get her into swimming too.
