Term Time Swim Schools

• Ideal for parents with children of different ages and swimming abilities

• Independent swimming from 3 years, for beginners, intermediate & advanced levels
• Adult and Child classes Saturday mornings only 10:30-11:00am.
• 30 minute sessions over 10-13 weeks
• 1-to-1s available in our chosen venues
• Beginner class 6 maximum
• Stages 4 and above 8 maximum.

Teaching Staff

At OSS Leisure Swim School we have qualified ASA staff with great experience to accommodate all swimming levels and stages. We believe that all swimmers should receive the appropriate time and attention from our teachers. Our 6:1 ratio and our policy of having teachers in the pool with the swimmers (especially for the younger groups) enables this attention to be given. We like to focus our lessons on water confidence, developing water skills and, within the higher levels, stroke development.

Rookie Lifeguard

Is aimed at children ages 8-12 years – Built into the programme are lessons in valuable survival, rescue and sports skills…all delivered in an exciting way that will get children involved and motivated. The scheme begins with Stage 1 of the Bronze Award and progresses to Stage 3 of the Gold Award, starting off at an ability level suitable for brand-new swimmers and progressing to the level where our Rookie Lifeguards perform impressive lifesaving tows.
